Autorenporträt
Elaine Sorgard grew up on a farm in the Iron Springs area. She shared her childhood with two brothers, a gaggle of cousins, and a menagerie of farmyard pets. After receiving her Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge, she went on to work some 30 years at various locations in the Palliser School Division as a teacher and teacher assistant. The bulk of those years was spent teaching grades one and two. The wee folk hold a special place in her heart! In addition to several cookbooks, she has authored a collection of poems and stories from pioneer times entitled Prairie Tales, and most recently, The Maxwell Chronicles. Her hobbies include readin', writin', but definitely not 'rithmetic! She has travelled extensively over the years with Maxwell and McKinley in tow. She enjoys cooking and appears to suffer from a recipe addiction! Like Maxwell, she lives in River City.
