In this book, you'll find an analysis of the relationship between three types of engagement - affective, behavioral and cognitive - and student achievement. The book highlights the significant influence of school engagement on the quality of learning, and hence on student performance. More specifically, it reveals that cognitive and affective engagement are the most strongly correlated with student performance. Behavioral type, while correlated with academic performance, is less so. Psychological well-being, too, is linked to school performance.
