Angelo Acquista, M.D., received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and tropical diseases, and is affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. He served as medical director for New York City Mayor's Office of Emergency Management, and is a New York City Police Department and New York State Trooper Honorary Surgeon. He is the New York Times-bestselling author of several books, including The Mediterranean Family Table and The Survival Guide. Laurie Anne Vandermolen received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and attended the Hunter College Graduate School of Biological Sciences. She has been a medical writer at academic medical institutions, including Rockefeller University, for more than a decade.
