Autorenporträt
My relationship with Fala started with my first trip to the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, DC. The little dog that was sitting at the President's feet intrigued me. My interest in World War II came from my mother, Her numerous stories about the war compelled me to read any books I could find. Thank is how my admiration for President Franklin Delano Roosevelt started. While in college, during my Masters's program in Art Education, I incorporated my love for Art and history and wrote a thesis entitled "Art in the Third Reich." The Fala project started 25 years ago with numerous trips to the Presidential Library in Hyde Park New York. I was able to speak with many of the archivists and Park Rangers at the library. I was able to put the history of the time using the voice of Fala. With retirement starting after 21 years of teaching, I was finally able to complete this project. I currently live in Princeton New Jersey and starting a new phase of my life,
