Jon Paul Heyne is an Assistant Professor of History at the University of Dallas and holds a PhD in history from The Catholic University of American. His research interests include pilgrimage, the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land, and inter-faith interactions across the Mediterranean. Austin Powell is an affiliate of the Classics Program at the University of California-Davis. His research explores the interconnections between the mendicant orders, penitent laywomen, mysticism, and textual communities in late medieval Italy.
