The last poem of this collection is an overview of all the masks of nature that Mr. Settle has tried on in order to be able to write The Metaphorest.

Martin Settle is a writer and assemblage artist, who resides in Charlotte, NC. He has master's degrees in English and Communications and has taught for 32 years, the last 17 of which were at UNC Charlotte.
