NYA KUMARI was raised by a single father where she developed ambition and a determination to succeed. Born and raised in Houston, Texas she attended HBCU Wiley College, majoring in Criminal Justice, and then graduated from HBCU Texas Southern University with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, minoring in Communication. She also collected a Merit Award, the Dean's List, and the Honor Roll. Her proudest accomplishment is giving birth to her son, Lemar, and raising him as a single mother. It's Just Daddy & Me is Nya's first children's book and her third published book.
