Pneuma Life Publishing was founded in 1991 by then 24-year old Derwin Stewart, in his mother's garage in Bakersfield, California. While he lay bedfast, dying from toxemia, Derwin compiled Scriptures to encourage himself and meditate on in his time of need. He felt impressed to publish the work which encompassed approximately 4,000 Scriptures and over 400 topics. That compilation would become "The Believer's Topical Bible" and is the flagship work of the company. Needless to say, God miraculously healed Derwin of his infirmity.

By the grace of God, a notable author took notice of the young, enthusiastic, African-American publisher who had been raised from his death bed. That author was Myles Munroe, a highly sought-after, best-selling author with worldwide recognition. The next book published by Pneuma Life was Myles Munroe's "Becoming A Leader", one of our overall best-sellers.
As the reputation of Pneuma Life grew, many other notable authors were attracted to Pneuma Life and sought an audience with Derwin. In 1997, Pneuma Life Publishing relocated to Mitchellville, Maryland and has continued to grow and gain influence in the industry. Derwin's wife, Kimberly, now heads up our new imprint, Christian Living Books.

Derwin's testimony has been inspirational to many people. His philosophy of determination and hard work has encouraged many a fledgling entrepreneur. His motto is Nothing is impossible with God on your side!

Derwin is currently working on several new ventures including Brothers International a non profit organization which will dissimenate publication entitled, Brothers, to incarcerated African-American males and a new online magazine, Christian Living as well as Sold Out Records which has already released two projects, The Arizona Youth Choir and Break the Walls.

Derwin's newest company, LifeStream, LLC is committed to providing ministries with the ability to reach the world using the latest broadband internet technologies. Our streaming platform equips pastors and leaders and enables them to broadcast their audio and video messages to millions of internet users around the world. In addition to providing top of the line streaming platforms, we fervently assist our clients in maximizing their return by providing the necessary knowledge and tools required for success.
