Produktbeschreibung
This book analyzes the iconographic series of cartoons and cartoons under the general title Os Zeróis, by Brazilian graphic artist Ziraldo Alves Pinto, between 1967 and 1972. A parody of American comic book superheroes - Superman, Batman, Captain America, etc. -, Os Zeróis offers a critical perspective on the ideals and values conveyed by these characters, such as the maintenance of order, the use of force to resolve conflicts, etc. In this sense, these characters are first placed, by principle and method, in the political-historical context in which they were conceived - the Cold War, in the international context, and the civil-military dictatorship, at a national level. The aim is to understand the strategies that Ziraldo used to remain active in an adverse scenario, given the censorship of the military regime. In addition, Ziraldo's professional career is presented, especially that related to the production of national comics, which had its high point in the magazine Pererê (1960-1964).
