Autorenporträt
Jan Boekelman is a Dutch chess enthusiast and theorist. In his younger years he participated in the Dutch Youth Championships, the Open Dutch Championships and he played a number of years in a team  in the Dutch national league. In those years he wrote theoretical articles for the New in Chess magazine and its predecessor Schaakbulletin. After a long stay outside the Netherlands, Jan has picked up chess again. He now focuses mainly on opening analyses. This is his third book for Thinkers Publishing, his first being the most acclaimed "Modernized King's Indian - Averbakh Variation" and the award winning opening book "Beat the Dutch Defense" of 2022.
