Tye Brantley completed her Masters diploma studies for Child and Adolescent Psychology in 2019. Her diploma focused on many therapeutic techniques as well as lifespan of Children. In addition, this educational experience helped prepare her for working with children. Around this time, she had volunteered to read a book to small children at an elementary school during her undergraduate experience. Upon discovering a newspaper clipping with her face; she realized that her passion was helping and inspiring youth of all ages to be their best. That day she had decided to pursue a degree in pediatric psychology. To further improve her skills with children she accepted an internship during the summer of 2017 for Lubbock Youth Leadership a Community Youth Development program. Over the course of 3 months she had helped create a daily syllabus for the kid's activity center and worked to push them to set goals. However, the highlight of working with LYLA was the bonds she got to form with the kids. They baked cookies from scratch, built popsicle stick houses, and even talked about why leadership skills were so important. The experience molded her to be patient, understanding, and developed her to work in underserved communities. In 2017 she began working in residential care. This included working with children who were suffering from PTSD because of unfortunate circumstances that effected their daily lives. This prepared her in de-escalation technique and strategies. As well as being patient enough to know that wounds take love and support to heal. Which lead her to teaching in 2019, Teaching taught her how to be resilient, motivated, understanding, encouraging. She also learned how to diffuse social situations, as well as do assessments based on milestones. This experience helped her to be able to work with a wide variety of kids and parents. In regards to writing The Moody's Monsters; she had it in view to utilize the knowledge she has acquired from so many opportunities that she had been blessed with to try and grasp a better understanding of working with children. Her main interest is for the betterment of children.
