In 2nd grade, MB Mooney kept getting in trouble when he was bored, and his teacher told him, "Why don't you write me a story?" He thought that was the best idea ever and has been writing all kinds of stories ever since. He has won awards for both fiction and nonfiction books. Mooney knew Alex Davidson, a young woman who passed away from Crohn's disease, and developed this story with Alex's mother, Lori, and a friend, Sherri, to raise awareness and support for kids with Crohn's disease. Mooney writes fueled by coffee while listening to heavy metal music. He has traveled the world and now lives in Suwanee, Georgia with his wife, kids, and a silly dog.
