His columns have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Newsday, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and the San Francisco Chronicle. He is the associate editor at New American Media and the author of The Assassination of the Black Male Image, Betrayed, Beyond O.J., Blacks and Reds, The Crisis in Black and Black, and The Disappearance of Black Leadership. He lives in Los Angeles.
