Ilsa Mayr was born in Yugoslavia, grew up in Austria, and immigrated to the United States as a teenager. After attending high school in Oregon and Missouri, she went on to graduate from Purdue University. Before she took up writing, Ilsa followed her love of books into a career as a librarian. She has authored a number of romance and mystery novels, including Summer Flames, Alibi for a Cold Winter's Night, and Maelstrom. She lives in Indiana.
