Donoghue has studied Celtic culture in great depth, through university studies, reading scores of books, and traveling extensively in Europe, where he has seen hundreds of Celtic artifacts such as the Gunstrup Cauldron in Denmark. Fully recognized as an expert on the subject, he has written four other books on the Celts: The History of the Celts, The Picts of Scotland, The King Arthur Quest, and The Irish Empire. Donoghue lives in Barrie, Ontario.
