We have an insatiable knack for being attracted by the superficial rather than the real. We allow meaningful things to be supplanted with familiar, comfortable things. Autorenporträt
Mike Brown is a layman. He worked as a professional engineer in the oil and gas production industry for 44 years, serving as project engineer, product specialist, and in research and development. He has taught Sunday School for over 45 years and has served as elder and deacon in his church. His analytial approach to this beloved Christmas passage helps to separate biblical truth from the mire of traditional assumption. The result is hopefully an increased appreciation of God's providential working in this story.
