Erika Isabel Cantú Cavazos nació en Monterrey, Nuevo León, el 16 de septiembre de 1977. Su primer libro, Iztalan Cihua, fué publicado por editorial Colección Dorada en 2023 gozando de muy buena aceptación por los fanáticos de la ciencia ficción y el terror. En esta su segunda novela, narra con acierto una historia llena de nostalgia, amistad y amor sin dejar de lado el misterio y la magia, temas siempre recurrentes en su obra. Actualmente trabaja en una clínica del Seguro Social como asistente médica, es estudiante de una Ingeniería en Sistemas Computacionales en la UVEG y es la orgullosa madre de tres hijos.
