After teaching English in the Virginia public school system for nearly ten years, Ruth Perkinson is branching out with her message of equality, especially for young adults. Through her book writing and advocacy efforts, she is trying to raise the awareness and consciousness of people everywhere. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Perkinson lives in the heart of the city with River, part-time therapy dog.
