Técnico en Artes Visuales por el Instituto Federal de Ciencia y Tecnología de Maranhão (IFMA) y Licenciado en Historia por la Universidad Estatal de Maranhão (UEMA). Actualmente es profesor en el Instituto Estatal de Ciencia y Tecnología de Maranhão (IEMA) y miembro del Grupo de Estudios sobre Historiografías y Lenguas (NEHISLIN).
