Mike Winterbourn is an emeritus professor of zoology at the Guide to the Aquatic Insects of New Zealand and New Zealand Stream Invertebrates. George Knox was a professor emeritus and the head of zoology at the University of Canterbury . He is the author of dozens of scientific papers and environmental reports. Colin Burrows is the author of numerous research papers and several books, including Julius Haast in the Southern Alps and Processes of Vegetation Change. Islay Marsden is an associate professor in marine biology at the University of Canterbury . She is involved in 65 refereed research publications and research projects with the University of London, the University of Connecticut, and the Department of Conservation.
