In times of neoliberal globalization, the formation of new generations with constitutes a task for the Cuban school, as a defensive weapon before the social phenomenon. One of the ways to achieve this purpose is to take advantage of the potentialities offered by heritage education as a source of cultural wealth accumulated by mankind. The present work studied the problematic, with the objective of applying activities for the strengthening of patrimonial education in teachers of the different teachings of the General Polytechnic and Labor Education of the Trinitario municipality, rich in myths, legends and traditions. The activities applied raised the cultural level of the teachers and these had an impact on a better preparation of the students, empowering the Trinitarian school as the most important center of the local culture, by virtue of the strengthening of the cultural identity, a novel aspect that contributes to the local sustainable development.
