Autorenporträt
Ingrid Koulen (1953) is a sociologist, specialized in non-Western societies, trained at the University of Leiden. Previously attached to the Department of Caribbean Studies of the Koninklijke Instituut voor Taal-, Land- en Volkenkunde (KITLV), she is now working with the Dutch government in the field of Caribbean minorities in the Netherlands. Gert Ooostindie (1955) studied history and social sciences at the Free University of Amsterdam. Since 1983, he has been head of the Department of Caribbean Sudies of the KITLV. Peter Vernon (1942) is a political scientist, educated at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Since the mid-1970s, he has been attached to the University of the Netherlands Antilles, presently as associate professor. Rosemarijn Hoefte (1959) received her education in history and Latin American studies at the University of Leiden as well as at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Presently she is affiliated with the Department of Caribbean and Studies of the KITLV.
