Autorenporträt
Miriam Falk is an advocate for children. She recognizes that every child is unique based on their upbringing, background, and personality. Through her experience looking after children, volunteering in schools, volunteering in the pediatrics wing, volunteering at Make-A-Wish Foundation, and her own first-hand experience as a child she understands the importance of learning about all the special and unique characteristics in each child. She was bullied a lot growing up and made some of her own misguided decisions in hopes of fitting in with people. It took her a long time before she started to take pride in the person she already was. Her aim is to help children embrace their individual characteristics to help them learn to believe in themselves instead of looking to others for acceptance. She wrote this book in hopes of giving a few pointers that will children build confidence and go after what is important to them. Miriam has a Bachelor's degree from California State University Dominguez Hills in Communications: Advertising and Public Relations, a Minor in Sociology and a Master's degree from Walden University in Communications Management. She loves children, and wants to help them succeed.
