K.N. Crighton is a New Orleans native who lived in the city during the time of Hurricane Katrina. A graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in magazine journalism and English, she worked as an editor of business and financial magazines for twenty years. She lives with her husband, four cats and a dog in a section of the city that didn't flood.
