'Fantasy - just fantasy,' said the author when asked about this story . . "We are the New Order and we come in your interest. . We will complete our handover to one of your kind, then we will leave." Art Anstrom is first to spot The New Order. "Prof" he rasps in a breathless whisper "there is something out there!" 'Fragmented telephone lines crackle, computers crash, ATMs with unreadable screens . and unresponsively blink back the same, zigzag lines.' Motivated by a morally compassionate higher force and sent to derail our self-destruction, The New Order arrives. Autorenporträt
Born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1978 is where this journey began, and at the young age of 17 years old, I had my first child. I wanted more for myself and as a single teenage parent; I knew I had to do something because now I had this baby who will be depending on me. I furthered my education and earned my Associates Degree. Soon after that I moved to Atlanta, Georgia and met the love of my life who is now my husband of 14 years. My dreams and ambition propelled me to return to college, and within one year I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree, started working in a school system as a Special Education Paraprofessional, and earned a Master of Arts degree in Education. I obtained my Special Education Teacher Certification and began working as a Special Education Teacher. I then began working on my Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.) when my husband and I received some great news that we would be enlarging our blended family, and nine months later we welcomed our daughter into our lives. At the age of 34 years old, I had the family, the career, and four college degrees. I had it "all". I found myself at the age of 35, having a stroke which left me hospitalized for months, paralyzed on the right side of my body, and not being able to work to help support my family. I didn't fully understand the healing process involved with having a stroke and thought that I would be back to "normal" in no time. Two years later, still out of work, and still going through the healing process, I began to write this book. I am thankful to God for sparing my life, giving me this platform so that my voice could be heard through the stories that I tell in my book.
