Natasa Durovicová is the editor of the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa and its online journal 91st Meridian. She is the coeditor of World Cinemas, Transnational Perspectives and How to Write an Earthquake. Christopher Merrill is the author of The Grass of Another Country, The Old Bridge, Only the Nail Remains, and Things of the Hidden God. He is the director of the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa. They both live in Iowa City, Iowa.
