The present manuscript is an outgrowth of this writer's interest in gaining for himself a comprehensive understanding of the basic phenomena governing distribution, severity status and indigenous knowledge on management practices of the newly emerging White Mango Scale insects. During my research work of intensive reading, I became acutely aware of pertinent published results contained in a great number of scattered journals and books. This original paper will be the only available to many researchers at various colleges, universities, and research institutes throughout the country, Ethiopia until a lot of work has to be done on this specific mango pest. The need to summarize the principle findings on the pest distribution, severity status and indigenous management practices, thus became even more compelling. Topics of this manuscript range from aspects of severity status and means of control in insect societies. The book is an attempt to cover all aspects related to the newly emerging pest mechanisms of distributions and its severity; it is indeed introducing about the looming threat of the insects.
