Academic Paper from the year 2022 in the subject Politics - Topic: Peace and Conflict, Security, University of Buea, language: English, abstract: This paper set out to examine the nexus between conflict and the right to development in English-speaking regions of Cameroon, the concept of conflict driven by bad governance and marginalization. This internal conflicts result in loss of life property, displacement and socio-economic backwardness. Mindful of this, adopting qualitative methodology and appropriate qualitative methods, this research critically appraises the nexus or better still the relationship between intrastate conflict and the right to development. Conflict and development are natural phenomenon and inevitable in all aspects of human endeavors. The realization of the right to development from time immemorial has proven to be ineffective in times and places of conflict, the Southwest and Northwest regions of Cameroon being contemporary.
