"In a globalized age, the need to understand the lives of others throughout the world has become increasingly important. The Nonwestern World: Perspectives on the Developing World and its Peoples examines the people, places and issues facing the developing world (non-Western) and the future of its relationship with the developed world (Western). This text brings together scholarship from a variety of academic perspectives to explore the issues and themes central to the study of the developing world and its peoples. Each section of The Nonwestern World includes a variety of discussion questions that are designed to give instructors the tools needed to engage their students in broader discussions on the developing world. With a range of relevant and current topics, students will be able to apply the lessons they learned from the book to their observations of events happening in the real-world today. This is an ideal text for courses dealing with the politics of the developing world, developing world culture, and globalization. Dr. Kevin E.
