Nurses in the oncology setting are therefore required to engage in conversation and communication so that a deeper understanding of counselling can subsequently emerge.The aim of this research is to experience, identify and understand basic issues that come up in the context of a nursing consultation in the oncology setting, as well as a focus on difficulties, obstacles and the unexpected in the context of a consultation. The research methodology of grounded theory is chosen for the present work.
