Allison says" I wrote the story of The Odd Sock because I always have an odd sock pile in my house and I know that other people do too. I started to think about where all of their other halves go and because this is a children's book, I wanted to make sure that all of the odd socks in the world find a happy ending." Allison lives with her family and their black Labrador Lilly in Derbyshire, England.
