Autorenporträt
Stan Hovey is a forester/environmentalist and mapping scientist/remote sensing who lived in Foret de Pin, Haiti during the 1940s. He has been returning to Haiti as a missioner for over a decade establishing small tree nurseries of about 10,000 seedlings and promoting environmental clubs at Haitian schools. He conducted a reforestation workshop for 30 Haitian agronomists in 2013 and hosted five forestry college students in Haiti during 2015 to build a number of tree nurseries. He continues to teach environmental subjects to Virginia K-12 students. He previously authored the book "Haitian Recollections and Haitian Returns" and lives in Urbanna, Virginia with his wife Sandra.
