With the advent of politics and the rise of the demographic rate as well as the movement of other tribes, the confrontation became more and more pronounced. The Hutus have noticed that the Nandes are settled in Goma, Rutshuru and even Nyiragongo without being able to access the territory of Lubero and Beni. This has resulted in frustration and mistrust on both sides.
