Autorenporträt
Manfredo Zimmermann, born in 1952 in Buenos Aires/Argentina, studied at the Musikhochschule Graz and passed his concert exam in 1976, majoring in recorder "with distinction". He completed his education with further studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, majoring in transverse flute. Teaching activity: 1982-1987 Lecturer at the Berne Conservatory (Switzerland). Since 1987 professor for recorder, transverse flute, chamber music and performance practice at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. 2002-2011 Lecturer at the Bundesakademie Trossingen Since 2010 lecturer at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf. Artistic activities: Concerts, master classes and advanced training courses have taken him to most European and American countries. Numerous CD recordings as a soloist and as a member of various baroque orchestras (e.g. Concerto Köln). Pedagogical writings: Manfredo Zimmermann is the author of several textbooks for the recorder (Ricordi, Con Brio), as well as a large number of play-along CDs (de Haske/Dowani).
