Raised in a small Missouri town, Ross Martin grew up hearing tales about his riverboat-faring ancestors. He holds a Master's degree in Creative Writing from Royal Holloway, University of London and is also a founding member of the experimental music outfit, Lowlegs. He lives in Austin, Texas.
