The Oxford Handbook of the Synoptic Gospels presents essays that push the field beyond the Synoptic Problem and theological themes that ignore the particularities of each Gospel. Stephen P. Ahearne-Kroll is Sundet Family Chair in New Testament and Christian Studies at the University of Minnesota. He is the author of The Psalms of Lament in Mark's Passion, co-editor of Women and Gender in Ancient Religion, and author of "Mark" in the Jerome Biblical Commentary for the 21st Century.
