Traditional Knowledge is conceived as an accumulated and dynamic set of theoretical knowledge, productive experience and representations that people have through social actors as a seed of life, that knowledge and do loaded with spirituality that involve essential dimensions for sustainable development based on the customs, experiences, traditional medicine, gastronomy, agriculture, livestock, fishing.In this sense, the study presents as a purpose to present a theoretical contribution of traditional knowledge as an overview for sustainable development from the geohistory seen as a dialectical methodological theoretical approach where the physical understood as the spatial and social, economic and cultural where human action influences and thus achieve the holistic vision of environmental sustainability.
