Charles Schwend majored in Journalism and a specialization in Museology - The conservation, restoration and preservation of museum artifacts. He co-founded The Highland League of Writers in 2008. Serving twenty years in the U.S. Navy, he retired as a Chief Petty Officer. Books authored include: Dragon Dreams, Words To Read - A Collection Of Short Stories; Gulag #7 - The Authorized Biography of Karl Heinz Lorenz; The Magical Switch; and The Keys, and Other Short Stories.
