MALCOLM ANDREW was formerly Professor of English Language and Literature at Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK. His publications include an edition of The Poems of the Pearl Manuscript, with Ronald Wakdron, 1978, a collection of essays on The Canterbury Tales, 1991, a volume of explanatory notes on 'The General Prologue' for the Varorium Chaucer, 1993, and the revised version of A.C. Cawley's edition of Chaucer, 1996.
