Many of us may identify with the road to recovery. Each of us faces our unique challenges and hardships. Some of us have it far more complex than others, and we must scrap and claw our way through life. How I went from being a crack baby to a successful businessman is the subject of this memoir. It wasn't easy being a crack baby growing up. Due to my mother's drug abuse, I spent most of my youth moving in with various relatives and acquaintances. I suffered a lot of emotional stress since I never felt accepted by anyone. After years of avoiding dealing with my issues, I finally began to progress toward recovery when I forced myself to confront the anxiety and sadness that had plagued me for so long. On my path, I discovered how crucial it was to ask myself these questions: For whom am I fighting? What am I fighting for? Am I even ready to fight? Thinking about everything we must overcome can leave us feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. But when we breathe and remember why we're fighting, we find the strength to keep going.
