This research arose out of an interest in trying to understand the plural role that the pedagogical coordinator assumes within an educational institution. The more I delve into the relationships and responsibilities of this fundamental part of school life, the more I realise the need to find other ways to contribute to the successful execution of their work. In this way, this research report is based on a study of the coordinating teacher, from the point of view of what is defined and supported by current legislation in Brazil and in the state of São Paulo, and on reviewing and observing the context of the study, as well as understanding the practices of those involved in this action.
