This article discusses the perception and appropriation of barrier measures in the population of North Kivu in the city of Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo. There is controversy about the existence of COVID 19, its contagiousness, virulence, mode of propagation and the way it replicates. While having collected some declarations from the population represented by a random sample, we had to unravel the degree of appropriation which turns out to be very weak in view of the approach put at the disposal of the community which runs the risks of contaminations.
