Computer crimes are on the rise in Malaysia, the law enforcement officers, legal community and the general public are the potential target. To determine the current level of perception of cyber-crime or cyber awareness among these three groups, a review of the literature on computer crime was conducted focussing on the general perceptions the public, law enforcement officers and attorneys. To date there are numerous studies and articles addressing this phenomenon of computer crime, however, they lack of academic integrity and do not comply with acceptable social science research methodology. In short, most of the literature is descriptive in nature. The research problem developed within this book focused on the opinions of these groups and whether they have consensus and key issues. This is important due to the impact these opinions may have on the formulation of new statues, policies, procedures and allocation of resources. This book conducted an empirical study on the perceptions of computer crime in Malaysia focusing on the three groups mentioned above.
