This text is the result of diverse experiences and reflections. It begins with a general problematization of the dehumanization that exists in the country and how it should be addressed in the educational field, because it is necessary to reflect on the role of education in the context of this crisis to rescue the spiritual mission of the same. It is necessary to achieve higher levels of humanity of the human being in order to live and coexist harmoniously; in this sense the performance of the university professor arises from a humanizing construction that facilitates the development of the being of the individual who learns. All this demands a more humanistic teaching as a desirable and possible alternative in higher education. In short, this work focuses its concern on the performance of the university teacher and the future professional who graduates from the university.
