Over the past several years, a team of consultants from the Dilts Strategy Group has conducted a research project to model the key success factors-"the differences that makes the difference"-required to increase the capacity for Collective Intelligence within groups and organizations. The purpose of this study was to identify the latest trends and principles applied by successful teams and organizations to raise their level of Collective Intelligence in order to address the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities in the today's economic environment. This book is the story of that adventure, which was itself the expression of a collaborative spirit. That adventure culminated in the development of a Collective Intelligence assessment processes - called the PERICEO Tool - that can allow any team or organization to evaluate and augment its degree of Collective Intelligence. This book itself was formulated and co-written, applying the processes of Collective Intelligence. Through it, the authors aim to share their discoveries and encourage readers from all walks of life to explore and better understand this important and fascinating topic. As co-author Robert Dilts states: "The ability of teams and organizations to foster the conditions for creating a genuine Collective Intelligence is one of the main challenges of our time." Robert DILTS has had a global reputation as a leading coach, behavioral skills trainer and business consultant since the late 1970s. From 2001-2004 he served as chief scientist and Chairman of the Board for ISVOR DILTS Leadership Systems, a joint venture with ISVOR Fiat (the former corpo- rate university of the Fiat Group) that delivered a wide range of innova- tive leadership development programs to large corporations on a global scale. A co-founder of Dilts Strategy Group, Robert was also founder and CEO of Behavioral Engineering, a company that developed computer soft- ware and hardware applications emphasizing behavioral change. Robert has a degree in Behavioral Technology from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
