The role of education is changing the world over and so is what is expected of teachers and educators. Education in general is supposed to equip individuals with knowledge, understanding, skills and values that are needed for many areas of work and survival. Knowledge-based, content-centered and examination-oriented education have degenerated in purpose. Competency-Based Education is becoming more acceptable and attributable to student individual empowerment. Consequently, most countries of the world have purposed to go competency-based by introducing Competency-Based Education. Therefore, Educator motivation is central in the process of achieving CBC. That is why the purpose of this book is to make an attempt at defining, reconstructing, and suggesting enhancement processes of educator motivation during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond. The research attempts to define educator motivation by exploring variables of alienation of educators, technological approach (ICT), intrinsic and extrinsic motivation/needs, drives, institutional engagements, and requisite incentivization of educators.
