Up to now there are many pharmacies that have professional pharmaceutical services in nutrition but there is no teamwork with the professionals of the public health systems. Many times patients arrive who need to lose weight in order to undergo a surgical intervention, for example, but there is no communication between the specialist who prescribes this weight loss and the nutritionist to whom the patient goes to in order to achieve the set objective. We think that if there were communication between the different health professionals and the doctors, whether primary or specialized care, would have the support of the pharmacies to carry out the dietary follow-up, perhaps the overweight and obesity figures could be improved, achieving an improvement in the quality of life of the patients and a reduction in health care costs.
