Alexander Douglas is a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy, University of St. Andrews, Scotland, UK. He is the author of Spinoza and Dutch Cartesianism: Philosophy and Theology and The Philosophy of Debt. He is currently working on a study of the critique of identity in Zhuangzi, Spinoza, and René Girard.
