"The Photo Tree" is a pedagogical device that uses photography as a medium for complementary activities in elementary education. There are approximately two hundred and fifty photographs from South America: Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina, Peru; Europe; Singapore; Cameroon; Israel... All photographs are exclusively created by Alison Granger Ganansia. Each photograph, during the workshop, becomes a window on the world, a fixed "screen" in a mobile universe, a memory, a projection, and is transformed into an instrument that allows one to communicate with and about one's neighbour. The aim of the Photo Tree is to develop the artistic sensitivity of the participants, to lay the groundwork for an opening up to cultural diversity, to open up a space for children to express themselves freely, both orally and in writing, and to encourage teachers to open up their classrooms to the world, to artistic education and to meetings with professionals. The Photo Tree connects People, Images and Words.
