George Sand, nom réel Amantine Lucile Aurore Dupin (1804-1876), était une écrivaine française majeure du Romantisme, connue pour son style passionné et sa vie indépendante. Autrice de romans, d'essais et de pièces de théâtre, elle abordait des thèmes tels que l'amour, la liberté et la lutte sociale. Parmi ses uvres les plus connues figurent Indiana et Un hiver à Majorque. Sand a défié les conventions de son époque, notamment dans sa relation avec le compositeur Frédéric Chopin.
